Belgian Style Buttermilk Waffles
5 large round waffles
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon Fleischmann's® Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1-3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 Cup Mazola® Corn Oil
- Combine flour, sugar, backing powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium size mixing bowl.
- Beat eggs, buttermilk and oil in a large bowl. Add dry ingredients, mixing together until smooth.
- Preheat Belgian waffle iron. For each waffle, pour about 1 cup batter in waffle iron; spread batter to within 1/2 inch of edge. Close lid and cook until crisp and golden, about 4 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve warm topped with your favourite syrup or fresh fruit.
