Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine OR butter
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons Fleischmann's® Corn Starch
  • 1-1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion and celery in butter in a medium saucepan, over medium heat, about 1 minute or until tender.
  2. Stir in corn starch until smooth. Add chicken broth and milk. Whisk continuously until mixture boils. Boil for 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.
